This quote from an old, out-of-print book comes to me whenever anyone asks “Why life admin?” Life administration is pure equal opportunity. Like death and taxes, it comes for us all. Completely unlike death and occasionally unlike taxes, however, life admin comes for us every day. There are the clean socks and cups of coffee, but also bills that are due, recurring haircuts, routine doctor appointments, errands of every kind.… we are swamped. Considering how often we confront life administration, it would help to know how to do it well.
