Mistake to think we need to actively find or choose and ask one.

More a mindset on both sides. Willingness to be one and to have one.

Once you have the mindset, then mentorships kinda happen.

Do you already have one?

Unexpected places and people. Be open minded.

Other considerations: being someone or seeking someone respectable, in the literal sense of the term. Mentors don’t need to be highly placed. They need to be wise.

They don’t need to be formalized. In fact, that might cool them off.

They aren’t just about the job.

They are kinda like long friendships, in fact they often cross into that, but more that they need time and effort.
Its the term for the adults still caring for children at home when their own parents care needs rise. It can be complicated, messy and a little uncomfortable. We are here to help navigate.
